Piggly Wiggly has a unique way to entice us customers - Free Gas!! The way to take advantage of their program is as follows:
- Sign up at the service desk for one of their Piggly Wiggly cards
- Get one of their weekly ads - at the store or in the Sunday paper
- Each week they have 3 or 4 specials for points equaling cents off on gallons of gas (up to 15 gallons).
This week:- Buy 1-3 lb bag of tangerines and get 3000 points or 10 cents off per gallon of gas
- buy Food Club bacon (1lb) and get 1500 points or 5 cents off each gallon
- Jello pudding snacks, 1500 points or 5 cents off each gallon of gas
- Food Club apple juice, 900 points or 3 cents off each gallon of gas
- Look around the store for more points items
- Each week they advertise new offers
- They keep track for you and whenever you want, take your card and get that amount off of your gasoline.
I’m up to $1.27 off per gallon (a whopping total of $19.05). When you check out of Piggly Wiggly with your card, they give you a paper showing how much you have earned so far.
One of my grown sons said “Mom, I know how you could save even more gas. Just ride on your broomstick for your errands.” Anyone want to adopt a grown son with a big mouth?
